This is a campus-based role and will require you to reside within daily-commuting distance of the UOW India Campus in Gujarat's GIFT City.

About the role
The primary purpose of the Associate Professor in Financial Technology is to drive innovation and excellence in both teaching and research. This role includes vital contributions to governance and service activities, directly supporting and advancing the school's mission.
As an Associate Professor, you will have a significant opportunity to impact the areas of research, teaching, and community and industry engagement, all within a collaborative and supportive academic environment.
You will collaborate closely with the Dean of Academic Programs to cultivate a supportive and vibrant learning community, ensuring that our students receive exceptional educational experiences and support.
This position provides a platform to influence the future of financial technology education and practice.

About The Candidate
Essential:
Possession of a relevant Doctoral qualification.
Teaching experience in Finance with a focus on Financial Technology.
In-depth knowledge of Functional Programming, particularly Python.
Excellent communication skills and a proven ability to establish good working relationships with colleagues.
Demonstrated skills, knowledge and experience relevant to the field such as a record of scholarly learning and teaching including innovative curriculum design, teaching pedagogies, and/or positive engagement with community, industry, government,
Demonstrated skills relevant to research in the field including though not limited to: literature review, qualitative and quantitative research, publications,
Demonstrated participation/capacity to participate in Governance and Service activity both within the University and external bodies (e.g., professional associations),
Fluency in English (both spoken and written).
Desirable:
Ability to travel to UOW Dubai and/or UOW Australia,
Ability to work outside of business hours to teach if required.
Fluent in or working knowledge of Hindi or Gujarati.
