The Community You Will Join:

The Associate Principal, Strategic Finance & Analytics, Host Product role will be responsible for partnering closely with Product, Supply, and Analytics leaders across Airbnb’s host ecosystem. This role will directly support some of Airbnb’s most critical product surfaces powering host acquisition, onboarding, and host engagement, and plays a key role in connecting product strategy to business outcomes.

As an Associate Principal in Strategic Finance & Analytics supporting Host Product, you will drive impact assessment & inform product roadmap prioritization through strong financial and analytical rigor. You will embed business context into product decision-making—ensuring teams are optimizing for both user experience and short- and long-term company impact.

This role requires a strong product mindset, with the ability to translate experimentation and user behavior into clear business implications and strategic recommendations for senior leadership.

A Typical Day:

• Impact Assessment: Own end-to-end impact tracking and analysis of product experiments (e.g., ERFs) in partnership with Advanced Analytics. Translate experimentation results into actionable insights to inform product iterations and decision-making

• Performance Management & OKRs: Own end-to-end performance management systems for Host Product, including OKR definition, tracking, and executive reporting. Build scalable reporting frameworks that connect product metrics to supply growth, activation, and revenue

• Roadmap Prioritization: Collaborate with Product and business partners to incorporate host feedback and in-product insights into roadmap planning. Develop business cases and size potential impact to support prioritization and tradeoff decisions

• Insights & Analytics: Provide actionable financial insights through structured reporting and analytics. Partner with Advanced Analytics and Data Science to improve data accessibility, automation, and deep-dive analyses

• Presentations to Leadership: Synthesize complex data into clear narratives and recommendations for senior leadership. Influence cross-functional stakeholders to drive alignment on high-impact product decisions

Your Expertise:

• 7+ years of experience in strategic finance, product finance, consulting, business operations, private equity, or investment banking.

• Strong track record of partnering with Product to drive measurable business outcomes.

• Demonstrated ability to connect product metrics, user behavior, and financial impact

• Advanced SQL proficiency with the ability to independently extract, analyze, and synthesize data

• Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data into decisions

• Excellent communication skills, with experience presenting to senior leadership

• Proven ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment

• High ownership mindset with strong judgment and attention to detail

Your Location:

This position is US - Remote Eligible. The role may include occasional work at an Airbnb office or attendance at offsites, as agreed to with your manager. Our job titles may span more than one career level. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for bonus, equity, benefits, and Employee Travel Credits.
