REQUIREMENTS
• Total experience 14+ years.
• Strong Appian experience, including multiple end-to-end implementations.
• Mandatory certification: Appian Lead Developer Certification.
• Proven ability to successfully run end-to-end delivery of Appian-based solutions, including scoping, technical design, planning, and execution within time, scope, and resource constraints.
• Strong expertise in designing and implementing complex Appian process models, interfaces, integrations, smart services, and business rules.
• Proficient in integrating Appian with databases, web services (SOAP/REST), external systems, and enterprise applications.
• Hands-on experience with Appian process modeler, SAIL UI, reporting, business rules development, case management, and content management.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to engage effectively with senior stakeholders, business teams, and technical leadership.
• Experience applying DevOps principles (CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, monitoring, logging) for Appian applications.
• Familiarity with pre-sales activities such as RFP/RFI responses, technical solutioning, PoVs, and PoCs.
• Willingness to travel for short-duration client engagements (workshops, technical discussions, demos).
• Knowledge of other BPM/automation platforms like Pega, Camunda, or similar is a plus.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Analyze business processes and workflows to design, architect, and develop scalable automation solutions using the Appian platform, with a focus on optimizing performance and user experience.
• Define, estimate, and implement the technical architecture and solution design of Appian-based applications, including complex integrations with external systems.
• Provide expert guidance on Appian version upgrades, security updates, and patching with minimal impact to ongoing services.
• Collaborate closely with business analysts, project managers, architects, and stakeholders to conduct workshops, refine requirements, and ensure successful and timely delivery of Appian projects.
• Lead and mentor development teams, conduct peer reviews, code audits, and enforce Appian best practices and development standards.
• Contribute to pre-sales initiatives by preparing RFP/RFI responses, presenting technical viewpoints, and building/demonstrating proof-of-concepts (PoCs).
• Develop reusable components, accelerators, frameworks, and utilities to streamline project delivery and enhance productivity.
• Demonstrate thought leadership through white papers, webinars, technical blogs, and knowledge-sharing initiatives within the Appian community.
• Stay current with the latest enhancements, best practices, and trends in Appian and related automation technologies, and promote awareness within the technical team.
• Ensure seamless integration, strong system performance, and long-term maintainability of Appian applications within the client’s technology ecosystem.
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
