THE ROLE
The Associate, People Operations is the operational backbone of the People function. This role owns the integrity of our HR systems ecosystem (BambooHR, JIRA, and integrated platforms), ensures regulatory and audit readiness, manages employee lifecycle data with precision, and delivers accurate reporting that informs business, finance, and compliance decisions.
This role combines systems administration, data governance, financial process support, integration oversight, and continuous improvement to ensure scalable and compliant People Operations.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
HRIS & Systems
• System Administration & Configuration
• Serve as primary administrator for BambooHR, managing permissions, configurations, workflows, and system updates.
• Maintain role-based access controls to ensure data privacy and compliance.
• Own system documentation and change management processes.
• Serve as system owner for Bonusly
• Data Governance
• Conduct recurring audits to ensure 100% data integrity across.
• Establish preventative controls to reduce downstream reporting errors.
• Maintain audit-ready digital personnel files aligned with local labor laws and internal compliance standards.
• Employee Lifecycle Management
• Execute and validate all employee data changes.
• Process hire, terminations, salary and promotion changes with accuracy and appropriate approvals.
• Ensure compensation changes are properly reflected for payroll reporting.
• Integration Ownership
• Manage and monitor integrations between BambooHR and downstream systems (e.g., payroll, and engagement tools).
• Troubleshoot data sync errors and partner with stakeholders/IT when necessary.
• Evaluate integration performance and identify opportunities for automation or improved data flow.
Service Desk & Operational Support (JIRA)
• JIRA Queue Management
• Serve as primary owner of the HR Service Desk.
• Triage, assign, and resolve tickets related to profile updates, compensation updates, system access, and policy inquiries.
• Maintain SLA adherence and internal employee satisfaction standards
• Trend Analysis & Root Cause Identification
• Identify recurring themes in tickets to inform documentation improvements, or automation opportunities.
• Reduce ticket volume through proactive system enhancements and workflow improvements.
Compliance, Reporting & Audit Readiness
• Compliance Reporting & Controls
• Ensure HR data supports compliance with local labor regulations and internal governance standards.
• Maintain documentation and reporting to support internal and external audits.
• Validate compensation, reporting structure, and employment data prior to key reporting cycles.
• Operational & Ad Hoc Reporting
• Serve as the primary People data reporting lead
• Produce ad hoc reports for Finance, Leadership, Stakeholders, and system support needs.
• Ensure report accuracy and alignment across HR and Finance systems.
• Cross-Charge Agreement Management
• Manage and track cross-charge agreements for employees working across entities or departments.
• Maintain documentation and reporting to ensure accurate financial allocation.
• Partner with Finance to validate reporting alignment and cost tracking.
WHAT YOU BRING
• Up to 3 years of experience managing HRIS systems (Bamboo experience preferred)
• Knowledge of regulatory guidelines like EEOC, FLSA etc
• Required competencies - Attention to detail, bias for action and customer centricity
