Associate Master Data Management

Metro Global Solution Center (MGSC) is internal solution partner for METRO, a €31 Billion international wholesaler with operations in more than 30 countries. The store network comprises a total of 623 stores in 21 countries, of which 522 offer out-of-store delivery (OOS), and 94 dedicated depots. In 12 countries, METRO runs only the delivery business by its delivery companies (Food Service Distribution, FSD). 

 

HoReCa and Traders are core customer groups of METRO. The HoReCa section includes hotels, restaurants, catering companies as well as bars, cafés and canteen operators. The Traders section includes small grocery stores and kiosks. The majority of all customer groups are small and medium-sized enterprises as well as sole traders. METRO helps them manage their business challenges more effectively. 

 

MGSC, location wise is present in Pune (India), Düsseldorf (Germany) and Szczecin (Poland). We provide HR, Finance, IT & Business operations support to 31 countries, speak 24+ languages and process over 18,000 transactions a day. For over 10 years, we have been providing services and solutions from our two locations in Pune and Szczecin. Preferred Work Experience:

• Fresher or up to 1 year of experience in Supplier Master Data Management or related data operations.
• Exposure to SAP MDG, SAP S/4HANA, or Oracle ERP is preferred but not mandatory.
• Basic understanding of supplier records, classification structures, and vendor hierarchies is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) for data management.
• Ability to learn and apply data governance principles related to supplier master data.
• Basic experience with data entry, validation, and accuracy checks in any ERP system is an advantage.

Required Technical Competencies:

• Basic knowledge of data management concepts.
• Familiarity with ERP systems like SAP MDG, SAP S/4HANA, or Oracle ERP is a plus.
• Ability to perform data entry, validation, and cleansing as per defined workflows.
• Understanding of supplier data structures, attributes, and dependencies is an advantage.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new tools and data management processes.

Required Functional skills:

• Basic knowledge of Supplier Master Data lifecycle management (excluding supplier onboarding).
• Understanding of data accuracy, completeness, and standardization.
• Ability to perform routine data checks and updates.
• Adherence to governance, audit, and compliance requirements.
• Collaboration with internal teams to ensure smooth supplier data operations.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Supply Chain or a related field.
• Basic understanding of Master Data Management is an advantage but not mandatory.
• Certification in SAP MDG is an added advantage.
