Services within Mastercard is responsible for acquiring, engaging, and retaining customers by managing fraud and risk, enhancing cybersecurity, and improving the digital payments experience. We provide value-added services and leverage expertise, data-driven insights, and execution. Our Advisors & Consulting Services team combines traditional management consulting with Mastercard’s rich data assets, proprietary platforms, and technologies to provide clients with powerful strategic insights and recommendations. Our teams work with a diverse global customer base across industries, from banking and payments to retail and restaurants.
The Advisors & Consulting Services group has five specializations: Strategy & Transformation, Performance Analytics, Business Experimentation, Marketing, and Program Management. Our Program Management consultants lead clients through business transformations by implementing strategically important Mastercard assets and services to bring value and drive growth. They serve as the Center of Engagement across all stakeholders within Mastercard and the client’s organization.

Roles and Responsibilities
You will play a key role in strengthening and scaling the Program Management capability by supporting the leadership team with insight, structure, and discipline across quality, resourcing, financials, and opportunity management. You will focus on enabling effective decision‑making, consistent standards, and continuous improvement across the portfolio. This role is ideal for someone who is analytical, organised, and motivated to build capability at a practice level.
Client Impact
• Support Program Management leadership with portfolio‑level insights across quality, resourcing, financial performance, and delivery health
• Assist in shaping and maintaining standards, frameworks, and governance processes that improve consistency and effectiveness across programs
• Contribute to scoping, opportunity shaping, and revenue diligence activities by preparing inputs, analysis, and supporting materials for leadership review
• Track and consolidate risks, dependencies, and capacity constraints across the portfolio, highlighting trends and areas requiring leadership attention
• Support the preparation of internal reporting and executive updates by synthesising data into clear, concise, and decision‑ready outputs
Team Collaboration & Culture
• Work closely with Program Management leaders to support planning, prioritisation, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Develop and maintain high‑quality internal artefacts such as playbooks, templates, dashboards, and governance materials
• Support internal forums, cadence meetings, and leadership sessions through preparation, coordination, and follow‑up
• Contribute to a culture of quality and accountability by helping embed best practices across scoping, financial management, and delivery governance
• Grow capability over time by taking increasing ownership of specific practice areas (e.g. quality assurance, resource planning, opportunity hygiene), with coaching and guidance from senior leaders
Qualifications
Basic qualifications
• Undergraduate degree with work experience in project management and change management methodologies and techniques
• 4-6 years of Project Management experience
• Exposure to financial institutions, payments, and/or consultancies
• Experience managing clients or internal stakeholders
• Logical, structured thinking
• Advanced Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills
• Ability to perform multiple tasks with multiple clients in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Ability to communicate effectively in English and the local office language (if applicable)
• Eligibility to work in the country where you are applying, as well as apply for travel visas as required by travel needs
• Ability to travel to client sites on a semi-regular basis
Preferred qualifications
• Experience developing and implementing solutions and measuring impact on clients' business
• Experience coaching junior consultants
• Have completed or interested in pursuing recognized professional accreditation, such as Project Management Professional (PMP)
• Knowledge of Project Management tools
• Exposure to payments and/or retail banking or merchants
• MBA or master’s degree with relevant specialization (not required)
