Join the Indiana University Foundation’s mission-driven HR team as an Associate Human Resources Business Partner based in our Indianapolis office, where you will help support and empower the people who advance Indiana University’s life-changing impact through education, research, and philanthropy. Reporting to the Human Resources Business Partner, this newly created role is an exciting opportunity for an HR professional who is eager to expand their experience across multiple HR disciplines while serving as a resource for our Indianapolis team members. If you are passionate about people, customer service, and building relationships, this role offers a unique chance to develop into a strategic HR partner while making a direct impact on the employee experience.
In this role, you will support a wide range of HR initiatives including employee relations, performance management, onboarding, talent processes, engagement initiatives, HR operations, and project coordination. You will partner with leaders and employees to provide responsive, high-touch HR support while also contributing to broader HR programs and strategic initiatives across the organization. Knowledge and Skills:
• Professional Polish: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to "manage up" to executive stakeholders.
• Analytical Curiosity: Comfort working with data, reports, and HRIS systems to find the "story" behind the numbers, with the goal of providing proactive insights for managers.
• Technical Savvy: High proficiency in Microsoft Office (specifically Excel and PowerPoint); interest in using AI tools to optimize administrative workflows.
• Adaptability: The ability to pivot between administrative precision and high-energy candidate hosting
• Discretion: Proven ability to handle sensitive, confidential employee information with total integrity.
Education and Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Communications, Management, or a related field is required.
• 2 years of experience in human resources or a fast-paced professional office environment providing support to employees.
• A combination of education and experience will be considered.
This position will be posted through June 7th, 2026. Interviews will begin immediately for qualified candidates. Occasional travel to Bloomington is required for this position. The compensation range is $57,000- $62,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
