The Opportunity
As an Associate Estimator, you’ll support KCI’s preconstruction team in developing accurate, competitive cost estimates across civil/utility, bridge/roadway, wastewater, and general contracting projects. This is an ideal role for someone early in their career who wants to learn the estimating process, build technical skills, and grow within the construction industry.

Build Projects That Matter
What You'll Do
Assist in preparing accurate and competitive project cost estimates
Review bid documents to understand scope, risks, and requirements
Perform quantity take-offs for labor and materials with guidance from senior estimators
Research and compile pricing for labor, materials, and equipment
Solicit and compare subcontractor and supplier quotes
Participate in site visits to understand project conditions
Partner with Senior Estimators to build technical estimating knowledge
Learn and utilize estimating tools and Microsoft Office applications
Support the estimating team with additional tasks as needed
What You Bring
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent experience)
0–2 years of construction or estimating experience (internships a plus)
Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking skills
Ability to stay organized and work in a fast-paced environment
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office; willingness to learn estimating software
Exposure to tools like HCSS HeavyBid, Bluebeam, or On-Screen Takeoff is a plus
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings
Strong interpersonal skills with a team-first mindset
