As part of the Worley Community and under supervision and mentorship within the team, you will assist in the delivery of consulting services to Worley and our customers.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
Provide technical leadership on complex site assessment and remediation projects, acting as a contaminated land specialist and hydrogeologist.
Provide technical oversight, particularly in groundwater resources, chemical hydrogeology, groundwater remediation and restoration, hydrogeological assessment, modelling, and monitoring.
Provide execution and technical leadership in numerical groundwater modelling, including groundwater flow and transport modelling.
Review of work plans, soil and groundwater investigation data analysis and assessment.
Development/review of conceptual site models and execution of Tier 1, TIer 2 and Tier 3 risk assessments, data gap and sensitivity analysis.
Preparation and review of technical reports. Ensure reports are prepared on schedule, on budget and at a high quality standard.
Stakeholder engagement (contractors, clients and authorities).
Project management tasks, including management of project resources and schedule, cost control and quality assurance. Customer relationship.
Mentoring and technical guidance.
Business development activities including the preparation of proposals.
ACADEMIC BACKGROUND
Bachelor of Science required. Master of Science in Geology or Hydrogeology.
LANGUAGES
Spanish: native proficiecy.
English: full professional proficiency (spoken and written).
EXPERIENCE
10+ discipline experience; 3+ yrs project leadership
TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE
Demonstrated experience in groundwater numerical modelling (both steady-state and transient), including model construction, calibration, validation, and sensitivity analysis for both flow and transport modelling.
Proficiency in groundwater modelling software is required, including Groundwater Vistas, MODFLOW, MODPATH, MT3D, and FEFLOW.
Demonstrate a solid understanding of environmental contaminants, specifically petroleum hydrocarbons and volatile organic compounds.
Demonstrate a solid understanding of fate and transport of environmental contaminants in the subsoil, exposure pathways and potential linkages to receptors.
Experience with ground investigation design, groundwater well development methods and data interpretation. Experience with dedicated software (SURFER, AQTESOLV).
Sound understanding of national regulations, and International guidance related to groundwater assessments, contaminated land, conceptual site models and risk assessment methodologies.
Experience in risk assessment methodologies and software (RBCA, RISC).
Advanced Excel, Word, Powerpoint skills.
Experience using GIS tools (QGIS and Surfer).

We are seeking an experienced consultant with a strong background in hydrogeological assessment of contaminated sites and groundwater modelling to join a well-established team delivering complex projects at both national and international levels.
We provide high-quality, innovative solutions to our clients, including the development of environmental risk assessment tools to support investment decision-making and risk mitigation, digital solutions for real-time site data analysis, climate change risk assessments, and water stewardship services.
