Job Description

About UJA Federation of Greater Toronto

At UJA Federation of Greater Toronto, our vision is to lead the most vibrant Jewish community in North America - a community characterized by its diversity, unity, compassion, generosity and commitment to Jewish values. Together with our philanthropic, volunteer and professional leadership, we’re changing lives.

As one of North America’s leading Jewish non-profits, UJA Federation of Greater Toronto works to preserve and strengthen the quality of Jewish life in Greater Toronto, Canada, Israel and around the world. UJA advances this mission through fundraising, programs, and research focused on our strategic pillars: fighting poverty and improving well-being, growing Jewish education and identity, countering antisemitism and hate, and strengthening connections with Israel and Jewish communities worldwide.

About the Opportunity

The Associate Director, Supplemental Proposals & Stewardship plays a critical cross-functional role between the Jewish Foundation of Greater Toronto, The integrated Development team,  and UJA’s Community Capacity Building team, as well as other program delivery teams across the organization. Reporting to the Senior Director, Donor Stewardship and Impact, this role supports the design and delivery of an innovative stewardship and donor engagement approach that enhances the fundholder and donor experience.

The Associate Director contributes to strategies and solutions that deepen donor engagement through thoughtful stewardship, compelling storytelling, and strong collaboration across fundraising and program teams. This includes donor communication and recognition, stewardship execution, data analysis and reporting, operational systems and support, funding opportunities, and impact reporting.

By effectively connecting programmatic priorities with donor interests, the Associate Director helps advance meaningful philanthropic investments in the Toronto Jewish community, in Israel, and globally.

This is an exciting opportunity for a creative and strategic professional who excels in relationship-building, collaboration, and translating impact into compelling narratives. As a key member of the Foundation team, the Associate Director is motivated to achieve individual and team goals while contributing to UJA’s broader stewardship objectives.

Serve as a thought partner in identifying and piloting innovative approaches to fundholder engagement across the Jewish Foundation portfolio.

Support fundholder cultivation, stewardship, and retention through strategic and personalized touchpoints aligned with donor interests and granting activity.

Act as a strategic partner to Philanthropic Advisors by providing insight, coordination, and guidance to ensure cohesive and donor-centered funding opportunities.

Collaborate with the content and communications team to develop consistent, high-quality, and meaningful messaging for fundholders.

Deliver value-added impact information and insights to Philanthropic Advisors that can be shared regularly with donor portfolios.

Develop and monitor tracking metrics related to donor engagement, granting patterns, and interests, and assess the effectiveness of stewardship efforts to inform future strategies.

Align with the Impact and Stewardship team to support the production of curated impact materials for leading donors, as required.

Ensure that all donor-facing materials align with UJA’s values, brand, and communications standards.
