Associate Director of Nursing Position in LA!

Healthcare Talent is assisting our client in their search for an Associate Director of Nursing for a prestigious, well-established mental health organization serving a diverse population in Los Angeles. This is a key position that will provide oversight to clinical nursing services and supervise the nursing and ancillary support staff in an ambulatory care setting; this includes laboratory functions and specialty referrals. Key staff role in the technological implementation of all components of the medical practice.

Requirements/Qualifications:

• Be able to communicate tactfully and empathetically, with cultural sensitivity towards staff and patients. 

• Prior administrative and management experience. Working knowledge of direct outpatient care, management methods and practices in a psychiatric hospital setting or similar health care facility, and managing clinic nursing services to achieve the delivery of efficient, quality patient care services. Prior experience in a similar setting is preferred.

• Demonstrated supervisory skills of at least 5 employees working in various functions in a medical office/ clinic.

• Skill in identifying problems and recommending solutions in a clear, concise and proactive manner, including recognition and resolution of costly errors.

• Ability to maintain organized and accurate records.

• Demonstrated sensitivity to individuals from diverse cultures and lifestyles.

• RN with BSN in Nursing or a Master's degree in Nursing required, with five years clinical experience as a Registered Nurse and two years of experience in a psychiatric environment 

• Bilingual Spanish required
