About the Division:
Deloitte’s Actuarial & Insurance Solutions (AIS) practice is a multi-disciplinary group with a primary focus on the insurance and financial services industry. Our AIS practice provides comprehensive actuarial, risk management, and advanced analytics services for Life and P&C insurance companies, reinsurance companies, pension plans, captives, and other organizations.
Our Actuarial Life Insurance team is looking for an Actuarial Associate Director to form part of the Leadership Team in the delivery of services to/at client premises on delegated engagement/project.  There will be a strong focus on developing and providing wider insurance solutions adjacent to our core actuarial offering, including but not limited to actuarial and finance transformation projects and building and converting insurance management consulting
Minimum Qualifications
• Fellow of the Actuarial Society of South Africa or equivalent
• A general insurance Practising Certificate will be advantageous
Minimum Experience
• Minimum 10 years relevant working experience
• At least 5 years of leadership/team management experience
• Significant experience in General Insurance
• Experience in implementing and leading actuarial/finance transformation projects will be advantageous
• Strong analytical and modelling capabilities
• Pricing experience/knowledge will be an advantage
• At least 3+ years of General Insurance including capital modelling and management, reserving and reinsurance is ideal
• Specific experience of IFRS17, SAM (Solvency II) & General Insurance risk management will count strongly
• Experience leading and co-ordinating actuarial deliverables and teams
