Position Overview
The Associate Construction Project Manager – Data Center Substation supports the planning and execution of high‑voltage substation projects serving data center campuses and utility interconnections. This position partners closely with Project Managers, field supervision, engineers, and clients to manage scope, schedule, budget, safety, and quality throughout all project phases.
This is a hands‑on, field‑focused role designed for professionals looking to grow their careers in construction project management within the data center power and electrical infrastructure sector.
Key Responsibilities
• Support construction project execution for data center substations and associated electrical infrastructure
• Track and assist with project schedules, budgets, job cost reports, and change management
• Coordinate with field crews, subcontractors, engineers, and utility stakeholders
• Assist with procurement, material tracking, and documentation
• Participate in safety planning, job hazard analysis, and compliance initiatives
• Provide in‑field project support throughout long‑term project assignments
• Contribute to lessons learned, productivity tracking, and continuous improvement initiatives

Preferred Qualifications & Skills
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook); exposure to job cost tracking or construction estimating software preferred
• Interest or experience in data center, substation, power delivery, or electrical construction projects
• Strong organizational, documentation, and time‑management skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced construction environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Willingness to travel nationwide and work onsite for extended project durations
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
• Desire to learn, take initiative, and grow into increasing project leadership responsibility
