Overview of the Position
The Associate, Asset Management (US Multifamily) will report to the Vice President of Asset Management and will be responsible for the ongoing oversight, performance monitoring, and strategic management of a multifamily portfolio across the US. The role will also support financing and disposition execution as portfolio assets progress through their investment lifecycle.
Greybrook is seeking a qualified and talented professional with a background in finance, real estate, or a related field, and at least 3 years of experience in real estate investments, investment banking, audit, private equity or asset management. The candidate should have a strong proficiency with Excel, excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
Conduct complex financial analysis to evaluate current investment performance against underwritten projections and propose and implement adjustments to the investment strategy as required.
Monitor and analyze portfolio-level and asset-level KPIs, including occupancy, rent growth, NOI performance, and capital expenditure progress, to identify risks and opportunities across the portfolio.
Maintain and update portfolio level cash flow forecasts, including projected distributions, capital calls, debt service, and capital expenditure requirements, to support fund level liquidity planning.
Work collaboratively with property management teams and internal departments to ensure successful execution of business plans.
Support ongoing asset management and reporting requirements across the US multifamily portfolio, including annual budget approvals, and quarterly investor reporting.
Assist with the preparation of financial packages for lenders and consultants in connection with asset-level financing and disposition processes.
Qualifications and Key Attributes:
Must have a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
Experience in financial modeling, investment analysis, and asset management.
Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, real estate, or a related field.
Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills.
Ability to operate and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Ability to gather, synthesize and organize large datasets.
Highly resourceful problem solver and quick learner.
An effective communicator both verbally and written.
Reliable, focused, and detail oriented.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively to enact results and achieve desired outcomes.
Adept at managing and building relationships with partners, stakeholders and the team.
The demands of the role require successful candidates to have strong time management and organizational skills.
Must be able to travel occasionally to the US.
