Key Responsibilities
Technical Leadership & Architecture
• Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of enterprise EDI and MFT (managed file transfer) solutions.
• Define and maintain integration standards, best practices, and governance for EDI and file transfer platforms.
• Evaluate, select, and implement tools and technologies to support secure and scalable data exchange.
• Ensure solutions align with enterprise architecture, security, compliance, and availability requirements.
EDI Expertise
• Provide technical leadership for EDI implementations, including standards such as ANSI X12, EDIFACT, XML/JSON, and trading partner onboarding.
• Design and support EDI mappings, transformations, validations, and exception handling.
• Troubleshoot complex EDI issues involving partners, protocols, and data formats.
• Partner with business teams to translate requirements into robust EDI solutions.
MFT (Managed File Transfer) Management
• Architect, implement, and support enterprise MFT platforms (e.g., SFTP, FTPS, AS2, HTTPS, or commercial MFT solutions, preferably Globalscape EFT Enterprise).
• Ensure secure, reliable, and auditable file transfers, including encryption, authentication, monitoring, and alerting.
• Establish operational processes for file transfer onboarding, monitoring, and incident response.
• Drive automation and optimization of file transfer workflows.
Leadership & Collaboration
• Act as a technical leader and mentor to developers, analysts, and support teams.
• Lead design reviews, code reviews, and architectural discussions.
• Collaborate closely with application teams, infrastructure, security, vendors, and external trading partners.
• Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Operations & Continuous Improvement
• Oversee production support, root cause analysis, and performance optimization for EDI and MFT systems.
• Ensure high availability, scalability, and disaster recovery readiness.
• Identify opportunities to modernize and improve integration platforms and processes.
Required Qualifications
• 8+ years of experience in EDI and enterprise integration, with significant hands-on development and support experience.
• Strong expertise in EDI standards, mapping, partner onboarding, and transaction lifecycle management.
• Extensive experience designing and managing enterprise MFT solutions.
• Proven experience in solution architecture and technical leadership roles.
• Strong understanding of security, compliance, encryption, and data protection in data exchange systems.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to lead initiatives independently and influence technical direction across teams.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with commercial EDI and MFT platforms (e.g., IBM Sterling, Axway, Cleo, Boomi, MuleSoft, or similar).
• Background in cloud or hybrid integration architectures.
• Experience leading or mentoring cross-functional technical teams.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices, automation, and monitoring tools.
