• Rare opportunity for an experienced Assistant Winemaker to join our renowned team

As an Assistant Winemaker, you will be a key member in the winemaking team in one of the founding wineries in Margaret River reporting to the Senior Winemaker. 

You’ll be involved in planning and implementation of cellar operations from grapes to bottling, as well as the development and maintenance of quality standards, including participation in allocation tastings.

Here is a taster of what you can expect in this role:

• Assist with winemaking operations, taking a practical approach with clear communication and organisational skills from grape processing to bottling preparation
• Support, train and motivate a high-performing cellar team.
• Ensure wine quality is maintained to the highest standard.
• Run accurate laboratory analysis when required.
• Participate in varied shift work or rosters and capacity to lead a team.
• Promote values and systems to embed safety, quality and sustainability into the culture and ways of working.
• Be an active member of the Technical Committee and contribute at a high level to all wine tasting/blending sessions.
• Contribute to innovation and continuous improvement to drive quality and efficiency.

Now let’s talk about you: 

• Oenology degree
• Practical winemaking experience for at least 4 vintages
• 2+ years experience in all winemaking operations
• Forklift licence
• Global experience in diverse winemaking regions
• Background in cellar operation and management
