Assistant / EHSS Officer
We are looking for an experienced EHSS Officer to join our team, supporting both the main office and project sites. This position will report directly to the EHSS Manager.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Sciences, Physics, Chemistry, or Administration
• Minimum 5 years of experience in site project management
• Additional certifications such as NEBOSH International General Certificate preferred
Skills & Training
• Strong leadership and management abilities
• Solid knowledge of EHSS management, training, and industrial/site practices
• Safety awareness with exposure to First Aid, Emergency Response, and Occupational Medicine
• Understanding of environmental aspects and risk management
• Excellent English communication skills with effective time management
Key Responsibilities
• Monitor and analyze EHSS statistics, reports, and trends
• Develop and implement EHSS programs, training, and awareness initiatives
• Advise management on EHSS risks, compliance, and improvement measures
• Lead daily site EHSS activities, ensuring proper PPE use and adherence to standards
• Supervise EHSS Officers and Junior Officers to ensure efficient workforce utilization
• Liaise with clients and contractors on EHSS-related matters
• Foster a strong culture of safety, occupational health, and environmental responsibility
