The Assistant Head – Retail Sales will assist the Retail Head in enhancing overall retail sales performance, managing store operations, boosting team productivity, improving customer experience, and driving revenue growth across multiple stores. This role demands strong leadership skills, analytical capabilities, operational excellence, and practical experience in retail sales management within the jewellery or luxury retail sectors.

Key Responsibilities
Sales & Revenue Management
• Drive the accomplishment of monthly, quarterly, and yearly sales goals across retail outlets
• Track sales performance by store and devise strategies to foster business growth
• Maintain high conversion rates, average ticket value (ATV), and customer retention
• Analyze sales patterns and generate performance reports for management evaluation
Retail Operations
• Ensure the efficient operation of retail stores while complying with SOPs and brand standards
• Collaborate with store managers on inventory planning, merchandising, staffing, and customer service
• Oversee store audits, ensure operational compliance, and implement processes
• Facilitate new store openings and support expansion efforts
Team Management
• Lead, guide, and inspire store managers and sales teams
• Conduct regular performance evaluations and training programs
• Identify staffing needs and work with HR for recruitment and onboarding
• Foster a high-achieving sales culture across all stores
Customer Experience
• Deliver exceptional customer service and manage customer relationships
• Address escalated issues and resolve customer concerns efficiently
• Implement customer engagement initiatives to enhance loyalty and encourage repeat business
Strategy & Reporting
• Collaborate closely with senior leadership on retail growth strategies
• Monitor KPIs, productivity metrics, and operational efficiencies
• Prepare detailed MIS reports on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis
Desired Candidate Profile
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, or a related discipline
• Over 7 years of experience in retail sales, preferably within jewellery, luxury, fashion, or lifestyle sectors
• Thorough knowledge of retail operations and team leadership
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal abilities
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Capability to efficiently manage multiple stores and teams
• Proficiency in MS Excel and retail reporting tools
Preferred Skills
• Experience managing multiple retail stores
• Proven track record in sales planning and achieving targets
• Background in luxury retail and customer relationship management
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growth-driven environment
