Reports to the Registrar. The major duties and responsibilities include:

Knowing the Ranger College catalog.

Being an information center for visitors and students.

Processing admission applications.

Communicating with admission applicants and students.

Maintaining up-to-date records on all current students.

Assisting with the transfer of coursework to Ranger College by evaluating and adding the coursework to the student’s Ranger College transcript. 

Becoming aware of and implementing changes in policies, regulations, and procedures as they relate to students and internal office functioning.

Being as knowledgeable as possible concerning the total enterprise of Ranger College including available educational programs and teaching locations(s) of each, as well as the names of instructors, support staff, and other resource persons available to assist the student and staff of Ranger College.

Assisting faculty and staff in interpreting student record information.

Assisting in the preparation and dissemination of registration materials and information to all remote teaching locations.

Assisting in regular and late student registrations on the Ranger College campus and as called upon at the branch campuses.

Being involved in the use of the computer systems for registrations, change of schedules (drop/add), word processing, and other data handling functions such as preparing and maintaining class rolls, and final grade and roll sheets.

Assisting in gathering, verifying, and preparing statistics on enrollments, graduations, and contact hour production.

Assisting in gathering, verifying, and preparing reports to federal, state, local and other agencies.

Assisting in the processing of student grades.

Posting grades to and maintaining “forever” the permanent record of each student ever enrolled at Ranger College.

Processing class changes and drops.

Archiving all student records, after they become inactive, teacher grade sheets and any other historically significant documents. Maintaining one copy in a secure vault off campus.

Preparing transcripts of student records upon the written request of the student in a timely manner.

Assisting other office personnel in meeting deadlines for projects for which they have the prime responsibility.

Requiring a strong knowledge of content-management software (POISE).

Assisting with Dual Credit registration, communication and creating/maintaining student files.

Participating in campus events such as, but not limited to graduation preparation/ceremony and Ranger Round-up. These events may require travel to other campuses and/or time outside of normal office hours. 

Performing other duties as assigned.

RECOMMENDED QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:  Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in an educational focus.

Experience: At least 2 years work-related experience

Required Licensure, Certification, Registration or other Requirement:  None

ANNUAL SALARY/BENEFITS:  Highly competitive and commensurate with experience and credentials. Group health and life insurance (60 day waiting period for health) and retirement benefits (TRS or ORP). Optional benefits include disability, vision, and dental insurance.
