We are currently seeking to recruit an Assistant Quantity Surveyor who will work mainly on projects in the Co Kildare area.
Job purpose - Assistant Quantity Surveyor
Accountable for all assisting Senior Quantity Surveyor with all aspects of surveying and commercial functions on projects.
Duties and responsibilities
Responsible for:
• Assisting in preparation and updating of contract budget
• Supporting commercial team in managing contractual and legal aspects of project
• Liaison with Senior QS
• Administration of contract records
• Assisting in production of monthly JCR’s and JCS’s
• Attendance at relevant contract review meetings
• Helping to updating of cash reporting and collection
• Maintaining good relationship with clients, supply chain and professional team
Qualifications and experience
Ability and knowledge of:
• Construction methods and technologies
• Measurement and valuation
• Ability to form good working relationships with all stakeholders
• Knowledge and understanding of subcontract/material orders and procurement
• Prior exposure to preparation and understanding of commercial reports.
• Contracts; bespoke and standard forms
• Knowledge of health and safety, quality procedures and construction industry
Applicants should have two years' experience within a quantity surveying role.
