Assistant Preschool Teacher (Full-Time)

💰 $13–$18/hour (based on experience and responsibilities)
Imaginative Beginnings-Maumee is seeking a full-time Assistant Preschool Teacher to support our preschool classrooms and help children build the skills they need for Kindergarten. This role is a great fit for someone who enjoys working with young children, values play-based learning, and wants a consistent daytime schedule in a supportive early childhood environment.
Most positions follow a typical daytime schedule (ex: 8:00am–5:00pm) within our center hours of 5:30am–5:30pm.

🧩 Responsibilities
As an Assistant Preschool Teacher, you will:
Support the Lead Teacher with daily classroom activities and routines
Help prepare and facilitate age-appropriate learning activities
Assist with classroom organization, cleanliness, and safety
Supervise children during play, learning, meals, and transitions
Communicate respectfully with families and team members
Help maintain classroom documentation and records
Follow all licensing regulations and center policies
🎓 Qualifications
Required:
At least 18 years of age
High school diploma or equivalent
Willingness to complete required trainings (CPR, First Aid, AED, Child Abuse Prevention)
Preferred (not required):
Previous experience working with preschool-aged children
Interest in early childhood education or child development
Dependable, patient, and team-oriented attitude
CDA (Child Development Associate)

💪 Physical Requirements
Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 20 lbs
Ability to actively supervise children throughout the day
