JOB TITLE: Assistant Multimedia Editor

DEPARTMENT: Editorial

REPORTS TO: Multimedia Editor

JOB SUMMARY

Hubert Burda Media HK Ltd is hiring a skilled Assistant Multimedia Editor to create impactful, visual stories in Hong Kong. Work with the Multimedia Editor, the ideal candidate is proficient at shooting, editing and producing eye-catching still and moving images for web and social media, with a keen interest in storytelling and design.

This editor will create content to complement editorial projects and campaigns as well as develop new features and opportunities for the brand.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Work with the Multimedia Editor to create visual features (ie: photography, short and long form content, interviews, event coverage) for Prestige/Lifestyle Asia Hong Kong

Create and manage photography and video for web and social platforms

Finding visual ways to complement existing editorial content (interviews, shoots)

Generating ideas for new editorial projects, as well as creative ways to cover sponsored content (digital covers, lists, branded stories)

Assisting the Multimedia Editor with the creation and execution of campaigns and events

Pitching ideas and pursuing new and interesting stories to tell visually

Working with outside photographers, videographers and illustrators for larger projects

QUALIFICATIONS

A passion for Prestige/Lifestyle Asia content (Lifestyle, Fashion, Music, F&B)

Knowledge of lifestyle brands in Hong Kong

Strong skills in pre-production, production and post-production (Owning camera equipment is required)

Familiar with Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, After effects, Lightroom, Photoshop)

Ability to work in and outside of a studio environment

Excellent eye for visuals that match Lifestyle Asia’s brand and identity

Organised and can deliver quality content under tight deadlines

Proficient use in English but fluency in Cantonese and Mandarin is highly advantageous

Proactive and able to take charge of various projects

Social media-savvy and on top of trending topics in general
