Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and filing of all GST compliances such as GST Annual Returns, Form GSTR-1, Form GSTR-3B, Form GSTR-8, along with reconciliation of returns with tax ledgers.

• Prepare & finalisation of monthly TDS payment /filing of TDS Returns and detailed Scrutiny of various Ledgers, books of accounts to ensure all statutory compliance related to the same

• Calculate, review, and verify monthly tax liabilities

• Ensuring the deduction of correct withholding taxes on foreign payments and its alignment with the relevant country DTAA

• Preparation of reconciliation/schedules of accounts for statutory audits & tax audits

• Liaisoning with consultants and auditors to smooth filling of the Income Tax Return and the Tax Audit report

• Maintain a structured repository of tax records, workings, backups and filings

• Maintain complete documentation for domestic and foreign payments

• Track, advise on, and implement changes related to tax laws and regulations

• Handle assessments, audits, and verifications by statutory authorities

• Validate the input tax credit and ensure no loss of eligible tax credits

• Prepare and compute advance tax, current tax, and deferred tax

• Work closely with the tech and finance teams to implement system or process changes impacting taxation

• Maintain and update the tax compliance tracker

Skills & Competencies Required

• Knowledge of accounting and direct & indirect taxation

• Strong Excel skills and comfort handling large volumes of data

• High level of attention to detail and accuracy

• Self-starter with the ability to work independently

• Good communication and coordination skills

Educational Qualification

• Minimum Commerce Graduate (B.Com or equivalent)

• CA Intermediate Passouts are preferable

Experience Required

• 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in Indirect and Direct Tax

• Experience in high-growth companies, preferably internet startups, is a plus
