TEAM
Woven by Toyota Communications and Marketing team supports Woven by Toyota business, ensuring all of our stakeholders understand and share our vision and mission. The team provides collaborative guidance and advice on integrated PR strategies to increase our fans/supporters as well as manage our reputation.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We are looking for an assistant manager, mainly responsible for the external and internal communications of Woven by Toyota. The person will plan and implement PR strategies that help inspire, engage, and drive understanding of Woven by Toyota’s Purpose/Vision/Mission and its strategy.

This role is based in Japan, and reports to the Lead of Public Relations. Communications are mainly done in Japanese.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Develop an external and internal PR strategy and practices to support business initiatives, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders
• Create communication materials such as a brochure, presentation slides and videos
• Plan and implement various events such as exhibitions, media events and internal events
• Provide PR support for the teams at Woven by Toyota. This includes reviewing their PR materials, providing PR guidance and counsel, and supporting the execution of PR plans and deliverables.
• Provide PR support for external stakeholders such as our partners. This includes reviewing their PR materials, providing guidance and counsel from brand/message management standpoint.
• Build relationships with media and manage their inquiries
• Manage communication channels such as website, social media and intranet to effectively disseminate information to our stakeholders

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
• Native level Japanese and business level English (to communicate with internal and external stakeholders in English)
• Superior verbal, writing, editing, and proofreading skills mainly in Japanese
• 5+ years of experience in PR within a corporate environment
• Strong ability to translate complex information and create a concise and well-written story
• Able to work collaboratively with various stakeholders and build actionable plans, and execute projects across groups and teams
• Able to find out issues on its own, and plan and implement solutions to cope with
• Positive and team-oriented attitude with a proactive approach and strong work ethic
• Always learning, adapting, and engaging with evolving challenges and rapid changes

NICE TO HAVES:
• Experience planning and managing events and logistics
• Experience managing external vendors and agency partners
• Ability to navigate change, propose solutions independently, and follow through by coordinating with relevant stakeholders
