• Ability to interpret electrical, mechanical and building systems information.
• Ensure that all daily operations are executed by the team in a high quality and timely fashion.
• Considerable knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems with the ability to analyze their design and performance. 
• Knowledge and appreciation of landscaping.
• Ability to remain calm in emergency situations and to effectively deal with internal and external customers.
• Assist with disciplining, counseling and training staff.
• Communicates effectively with government officials to ensure proper maintenance of permits and license, coordinating inspections with the appropriate departments.
• Work closely with other departments in order to ensure that all requirements are executed in a timely fashion and lead to internal and external guest satisfaction.
• Manage projects involving landscaping, electrical, mechanical and general construction, repair and maintenance of existing facilities and equipment.
• Manage operation of the hotel’s utilities. Maintain accurate records and monitor for anomalies.
• Effectively administer Preventative Maintenance platform.
• Effectively administer time & attendance process for POMEC.
• Ensure that quality control checks have been completed and approved prior to sign off on any project.
 
 
• Bachelor's Degree or Associate degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering 
• Ability to work cohesively as part of a team
• Service focused personality is essential
• Must be able to effectively handle competing demands via prioritising.
• Excellent organization skills along with effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong problem solving abilities
• Exceptional relationship building skills
• At least three years' experience would be an asset
• Must be legally able to work in Barbad
