Role Responsibilities
• Deliver timely, accurate, and high‑quality financial reporting and control services for subsidiaries of the London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG).
• Lead the standardisation and documentation of processes, ensuring operational resilience within the team.
• Oversee the seamless onboarding of new processes, ensuring alignment, efficiency, and continuous improvement across activities.
• Develop comprehensive and standardised training materials to support effective onboarding of new team members.
• Ensure adherence to LSEG policies, procedures, and internal control frameworks, maintaining strong financial governance standards.
• Guide the team to meet demanding reporting timelines while upholding accuracy, quality, and consistency.
• Support the external audit process for entities in scope, serving as a key point of contact for external auditors and facilitating timely responses to queries.
• Contribute to Group‑wide projects and support the successful implementation of new systems, processes, and strategic initiatives.
• Collaborate closely with Entity Accountants, Financial Controllers, Group Reporting, Statutory Reporting, and other Finance Centre of Excellence stakeholders to deliver strong end‑to‑end outcomes.
Preferred Skills and Experience
• Fully qualified member of a recognised professional accounting body (CA, CIMA, ACCA) with a minimum of 5 years’ experience.
• Experience within a finance shared services environment.
• Candidates with relevant degrees or part qualifications and strong experience will also be considered.
• Experience leading similar financial reporting or control functions is an advantage.
• Proficiency in systems such as Oracle Fusion, Hyperion Financial Management, and Blackline.
Strong Track Record In
• Financial accounting within large, complex organisations.
• Applying sound accounting principles and technical knowledge.
• Operating under tight reporting timelines and partnering with senior leadership.
• Leading and developing diverse teams across multiple geographies.
• Using advanced Excel skills to manage complex spreadsheets and ensure accurate reporting.
• Standardising processes and producing high‑quality documentation.
• Fostering a collaborative team culture across finance functions.
• Adapting to evolving business environments and helping shape role responsibilities.
• Designing and maintaining robust financial reporting frameworks.
• Building effective working relationships with global stakeholders.
• Continually identifying improvement opportunities and championing best practices.
• Communicating effectively—both written and verbal—with clarity across varied audiences.
• Applying strong problem‑solving skills and using available tools to deliver optimal solutions.
• Planning and prioritising work efficiently in line with business needs.
• Demonstrating strong proficiency in written and spoken English.
• Willingness to work according to UK business hours.
