Position Summary
The Assistant Manager – Financial Accounting and Control plays a key role within our Finance General Accounting team, supporting subsidiaries across the London Stock Exchange Group. You will help deliver accurate financial reporting, standardize processes, and partner with global stakeholders to continuously strengthen our financial control environment.
What You’ll Do
• Deliver timely and accurate financial accounting and control services for LSEG subsidiaries.
• Standardize and document processes to build resilience and improve efficiency.
• Lead the onboarding of new activities and align processes with the Target Operating Model.
• Develop clear and effective training materials to support new team members.
• Ensure compliance with LSEG policies and maintain strong financial controls.
• Guide the team to meet tight reporting deadlines while upholding quality standards.
• Support external audits and collaborate closely with auditors to resolve queries.
• Contribute to group-wide projects and help implement new systems and processes.
• Build strong partnerships across Entity Accounting, Financial Control, Group Reporting, and Statutory Reporting teams.
What You Bring
• Passed finalist in CIMA/ACCA/CA with at least 5 years of relevant experience (or equivalent experience with partial qualification).
• Experience in finance shared services or managing similar scopes is an advantage.
• Knowledge of Oracle Fusion, HFM/ FCCS, and Blackline systems.
• Strong foundation in financial accounting and accounting concepts.
• Experience working with senior stakeholders and meeting tight deadlines.
• Ability to lead and develop a team across geographies.
• Advanced Excel skills and comfort working with complex spreadsheets.
• Track record in process standardization and documentation.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to adapt in a fast‑changing environment.
• Ability to work UK business hours.
