Assistant Manager- Content Regulation

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Review of JioHotstar and Television shows, promos, commercials, movies, songs, web-series, and social media posts from a content compliance perspective.
· Pre-empt identification of compliance code, internal policy, government and regulatory policy and potentially legal violations. Protect the brand’s interest by flagging potential risk of defamation, copyright/ trademark among others in advance.
· Day to day co-coordination with content, marketing and ops teams for approval of content & promos.
· Study and develop a thorough knowledge of Indian content codes for television programs, digital, movies and commercials (like BCCC guidelines, CBFC, ASCI, OTT content code, etc.)

QUALIFICATION
· A minimum of 5 years experience in relevant field.
· Candidates with existing S&P backgrounds preferred. Can explore profiles from content writing/ research/editing/marketing/development backgrounds.
· Bachelor's or master’s degree in media/ Languages/ History/ Sociology/ Literature or any other field.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
· Advanced command on Tamil language (written/ spoken)
· Excellent general knowledge and know-how of politics, religion and social topics.
· Knowledge of local customs and sensitivity towards social/ human issues.
· Genuine knowledge & interest in national and international sports, live events and news (Cricket, Football, Hockey, Kabbadi etc).
· Good presentation and communication skills

PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES
· Genuine penchant for content on TV and OTT platforms.
· Should be up to date with the current Indian GEC universe’s happenings.
· Should be well-aware of current news and affairs.
· Should have a personal interest in sports and knowledge of various sporting events.
· Should have an eye for detail, be organized & self-motivated.
· Should be high on personal accountability and take charge of tasks at hand.
· Should have solution orientation and good interpersonal skills
· Should be able to work through demanding broadcast timelines.
