POSITION SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Director, Community Services (DCS), the Assistant Manager of the Adult Day Program is responsible for the overall coordination and management of the ADP. The successful candidate will support the organization’s vision and mission, working collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team to provide problem-solving and person-centered care for clients and their families.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Program Management
Operational Oversight: Establish and maintain high-quality service standards at the ADP.
Clinical Supervision: Assess client needs, supervise service delivery, and act as a clinical resource for staff.
Quality Improvement: Monitor client records, evaluate work processes, and assist the DCS in revising policies to ensure customer-driven care.
Stakeholder Relations: Maintain professional relationships with funders, health care organizations, and the public to enhance service quality.
Facility Coverage: Assist the DCS in overseeing the Assisted Living Program during the DCS’ absence.
Staff Management & Development
Recruitment: Collaborate with Human Resources to interview and select new team members.
Performance Management: Conduct employee appraisals, investigate staff issues, and initiate disciplinary actions or grievance management when necessary.
Resource Allocation: Coordinate staffing levels and ensure the efficient use of material resources.
Education: Facilitate student placements and support advanced clinical research within the program.
REQUIREMENTS:
Diploma in Nursing
Practicing membership with the British Columbia College of Nurse & Midwives (BCCNM)
Minimum of three (3) years of recent, related clinical experience, including at least one (1) year in a leadership capacity.
Strong planning & organizational, problem solving & decision making and time management skills
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; proficiency in Chinese (written and spoken) is considered a strong asset.
