Responsibilities:
Lead and oversee corporate, commercial, and complex M&A assignments, including LDD, transaction implementation, restructuring, and post-completion work.
Provide high-level legal advice to clients on a wide range of corporate governance, foreign investment, commercial contracts, and regulatory compliance matters.
Review, structure, and negotiate sophisticated legal documents to support clients’ strategic and commercial objectives.
Manage full deal processes end-to-end, coordinating across internal teams, clients, counterparties, and external advisors to ensure smooth and timely execution.
Mentor, supervise, and upskill junior and senior lawyers through active coaching, knowledge sharing, and quality control of deliverables.
Act as a primary client contact point, maintaining strong client relationships, handling sensitive communications, and delivering practical business-oriented advice.
Participate in business development initiatives, including attending networking events, supporting pitch presentations, and identifying opportunities to expand client relationships.
Support firmwide initiatives, including improving workflows, enhancing legal service quality, and adopting new tools and technologies (including AI) to improve efficiency.
Manage team resources, project timelines, and financial performance of engagements.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB) or higher.
Minimum 6 years of relevant legal experience (candidates with 8+ years of experience may be considered for a Senior Manager role, subject to qualifications and interview performance)
Strong expertise in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex commercial and transactional documents.
Proven experience managing transactions end-to-end and leading cross-functional teams.
Excellent communication, client-handling, and stakeholder management skills; able to confidently engage with senior executives.
Demonstrated ability to mentor team members and elevate team performance.
Strong business acumen with the ability to integrate legal solutions into broader commercial strategies.
Comfortable with business development activities and representing the firm at external events.
Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with AI tools for legal tasks (legal research, drafting automation, data review, etc.).
Highly service-minded, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently under pressure and tight timelines.
Strong command of English (written and spoken); additional languages are a plus.
