Assistant Head, Haulage Operations

Our client, a publicly- quoted company, is a well established end to end ground logistics business, with a 2 decade long pedigree re-defining the standards of the transportation business in Nigeria.

Consistent with its desire to maintain the highest possible standards with its business processes and people- management practice, the company is looking to fill the following positions in its operations.

• Successful candidate for this position will be expected to provide operational support to the overall head of the Group Haulage Division towards the achievement of the Division’s target and in implementing the company’s haulage strategy and polices.
• In addition, he will have responsibility for business development, cost management/operational efficiencies, strong crew management/controls, effective vredit collections, continuous process improvement as well as key client relationship management, execution of service contracts, as well as fleet routing and exigency management.

• Good university degree/HND in Automobile Engineering/transport Management.
• Minimum of 10 years post graduate experience in transport and logistics.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Articulate with excellent communication and negotiation, planning and execution skills.
• Membership of any relevant professional Bodies such as NIM, CILT etc will be a definite plus.
• High energy, proactive, strong problem-solving skills, assertive and ability to work under pressure.
• Age; not more than 45 years.
