Salary: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00

In your new role as Assistant General Manager of a busy Housekeeping team in a large regional hospital, you will assist the General Manager with all day to day activities.  You will be required to lead a strong safety culture, lead and direct a large team as well as possess knowledge of Acute Care facilities housekeeping activities.

How You’ll Make an Impact:  

• Responsible for overseeing a team of employees and successfully coordinating and directing Environmental Service activities including Building Maintenance
• Establish and maintain a solid and mutually beneficial business relationship with the client
• Ensure high levels of client and customer satisfaction and account retention
• Manage strong employee relations
• Create a safe work environment through provincial regulations and Sodexo policies and procedures
• Ensure the achievement of financial goals particularly around labour costs
• Strategically develop efficiencies in the operation

• Minimum 2 years of Environmental Services experience in a Healthcare/Long Term Care environment
• Ability to manage 100+employees with proven success in managing service operations in a Healthcare setting
• Management experience in a unionized environment
• Effective oral and written communication skills
• Ability to manage and promote a safe work environment and lead a safety culture
• You will be required to complete a criminal record check for work with vunerable sector
• You may be required to work some evenings or weekends
