THE OPPORTUNITY
This position is key to supporting the look, feel, and day-to-day experience within a Highstreet community. You will keep common areas tidy and welcoming, support suite preparation during turnover, assist the Community Leader with leasing, and offer exceptional service to current and future Community Members. The role includes light administrative duties such as scanning, emailing, filing, organizing promotional material and using Property Management software. You will schedule and coordinate with trades, manage Community Member maintenance requests, and ensure suites are ready for move in.
Since you will be interacting with Community Members every day, a professional presence is required.
What you will do:
Maintain Highstreet standards of cleanliness, appearance, and upkeep throughout the community
Support leasing activities and assist with screening prospective Community Members as required
Help uphold the look and feel of the community by reinforcing our community promises
Obtain quotes and coordinate trades on site to ensure work is completed on time and to Highstreet standards
Respond to and resolve Community Member maintenance requests in a timely manner
Complete reports and deliver notices as required
Organize folders, files, emails, keys, documents, and promotional materials
Work with MS Office, Property Management software and other digital tools
Support event organization and Community Member engagement
Share updates on the community Facebook group
Participate in rotational on-call coverage during evenings and weekends
Perform light repair work such as patching and painting as required
Standard work week would be Tuesday to Saturday
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
Customer service experience, preferably in a people-first environment
Technically savvy, and proficiency with MS Office Suite
Good physical conditioning and stamina
Willingness to work outdoors as required
Valid Class 5 driver’s license and reliable transportation
Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends as required
Some knowledge of building repairs and maintenance
Ability to complete general in-suite work, using a variety of hand tools
Familiarity with the Residential Tenancy Act is an asset
Compensation Package:
Annual Salary: $65,000
Annual Bonus: Highstreet pays an annual bonus based on company performance. A typical bonus for an Assistant Community Leader is approximately 14% of annual salary. Determined annually, the bonus could be more or less, depending on performance results.
Investment Opportunity: Highstreet encourages all employees to share in our success by offering the opportunity to invest in the projects we build and operate. To encourage employee investment, Highstreet matches employee investment at 50%, up to 20% of annual salary (i.e. for every $1 invested by the employee, Highstreet invests $0.50 on the employee's behalf). The investments are TFSA and RRSP eligible.
