Job Description

It is an exciting time to join Streamline Corporate as we continue to grow our B2B merchandise and clothing business, partnering with our clients to transform their brands across Universities, Legal, Professional and Financial Services.   With strong growth in recent years and exciting plans for the future we are looking for an experienced Assistant Commercial Manager to join us.

We work with brilliant brands, giving them the product they need to drive real turnover and the strategy to back it up. The right product, at the right price, at the right time — with service that genuinely means something. Every department plays a part in making that happen, and the commercial team sits right at the centre of it.

This is a hands-on role with real range. One day you're working through a complex quote, the next you're negotiating a deal that'll move the needle, shaping commercial range ideas, or getting into the detail of a logistics contract. You have to love the variety — and thrive in it. Every decision you make matters, and you'll be working closely with clients and colleagues across every department to make sure we maximise every move.

But here's the thing — this isn't a role for someone who works in isolation and reappears with a spreadsheet. We talk to each other. We share. We collaborate. When it's busy (and it will be), we show up for each other. When someone closes a great deal, the whole team feels it. Key Responsibilities

Complex Quotations & Tenders

Personally handle all Tier 3 complex quotes and high-value opportunities

Lead tender pricing responses

Handle all urgent/time-sensitive quotes when needed

Commercial Analysis & Negotiation

Negotiate pricing and terms with key suppliers

Identify margin improvement opportunities and cost reductions across the business

Monitor competitor pricing and market positioning

Conduct commercial analysis to inform product/pricing decisions

Provide commercial insights to senior management

Quotations Coordination & Team Support

Coordinate work allocation and triage incoming quotes

Conduct win/loss analysis and track quote conversion rates

Assign Tier 1/2 quotes to appropriate resources

Support and mentor team members with guidance and prioritisation

Review selected quotes for accuracy and commercial viability before issue

Process Improvement & Systems

Improve commercial processes and efficiencies

Standardise templates and commercial documentation

Maintain ERP data accuracy

Develop best practice guides and training materials

Stakeholder Management

Build relationships with key account managers (sales team)

Attend client meetings for major opportunities

Attend Supplier meetings in order to drive better pricing, processes and ranges

Key Requirements

Essential

Minimum 3+ years in a commercial role

Proven ability to handle complex quotes and tenders

Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills

ERP system proficiency

Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines

Strong communication skills (written and verbal)

Self-motivated and able to work autonomously

Supplier Negotiation experience

Comfortable coordinating others without formal management responsibility

Desirable

Experience with tender framework agreements

Process improvement experience

Far East Buying and importing/exporting
