L'OPPORTUNITÉ

Scalia est à la recherche d’un Assistant chargé de projet pour se joindre à notre équipe de gestion de projet alors que nous travaillons à réaliser notre vision de réinventer 18 quartiers d’ici 2040. Sous la supervision du Chargé de projet et en collaboration avec le Directeur de projet, vous participerez activement à la réalisation d’un projet multi-phase à usage mixte situé à Pointe-Claire. Ce rôle est une opportunité d’acquérir une expérience significative au sein d’une équipe reconnue pour son expertise et son esprit de collaboration.

REPSONSABILITÉS

Contribuer au suivi et au contrôle des budgets et des échéanciers de construction;

Préparer et valider des relevés de quantité;

Participer aux réunions de démarrage et de coordination avec les sous-traitants;

Collaborer avec les consultants à la conception préliminaire et au développement détaillés des projets en veillant au respect des budgets, des normes et des exigences contractuelles;

Fournir les informations nécessaires à l’obtention des permis;

Analyser, commenter et approuver les dessins d’atelier, en proposant au besoin des esquisses à la main de détails de construction;

Participer à la résolution de problèmes techniques et proposer des solutions créatives;

Assurer la transmission claire de l’information et la bonne coordination des intentions du design entre le bureau et le chantier; 

Faire le suivi et le contrôle des dessins d’atelier, plans, notes de projets, déficiences, etc.;

Préparer les rapports mensuels et assurer le classement électronique des documents des projets en cours;

Supporter le chantier pour la coordination, la planification et la gestion des sous-traitants;

Contribuer à la réalisation des déficiences et au service après-vente;

Effectuer toute autre tâche connexe liée à la gestion de projet.

LE CANDIDAT

Baccalauréat en génie civil, construction, mécanique, en architecture ou toute autre formation pertinente;

Minimum 1 à 3 années d’expérience pertinente en construction résidentielle lourde;

Solide connaissance du Code de construction du Québec, des lois et autres règlements applicables;

Capacité à lire et interpréter des plans de structure, mécanique, électrique, architecture, gicleurs, etc.

Excellentes capacités à gérer les priorités et à s’adapter aux imprévus;

Fortes habiletés analytiques et de résolution de problèmes;

Bon jugement et esprit critique;

Maîtrise de la suite Microsoft Office. Connaissance de MS Project, Autocad et Procore est souhaitée;

Maîtrise du français à l’oral et à l’écrit, anglais fonctionnel.

THE OPPORTUNITY

Scalia is looking for an Assistant Project Manager to join our project management team as we work towards our vision of reinventing 18 neighborhoods by 2040. Under the supervision of the Project Manager and in collaboration with the Project Director, you will play an active role in the delivery of a multi-phase mixed-use project in Pointe-Claire. This position is an excellent opportunity to gain meaningful experience within a team recognized for its expertise and collaborative spirit.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist with tracking and controlling construction budgets and schedules.

Prepare and validate quantity take-offs.

Participate in project kick-off and coordination meetings with subcontractors.

Collaborate with consultants on preliminary and detailed design, ensuring compliance with budgets, standards, and contractual requirements.

Provide the information required for permit applications.

Review, comment on, and approve shop drawings, preparing hand sketches of construction details when necessary.

Participate in the resolution of technical issues and propose creative solutions.

Ensure clear communication and coordination of design intent between office and site teams.

Monitor and track shop drawings, plans, project notes, deficiencies, and related documentation.

Prepare monthly reports and ensure proper electronic filing of project documentation.

Support site operations with subcontractor coordination, planning, and issue resolution.

Contribute to deficiency management and post-construction service.

Perform other related tasks in support of project management.

THE CANDIDATE

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Architecture, or another relevant field.

Minimum of 1–3 years of relevant experience in heavy residential construction.

Strong knowledge of the Quebec Building Code, applicable laws, and regulations.

Ability to read and interpret structural, mechanical, electrical, architectural, sprinkler, and related drawings.

Excellent ability to manage priorities and adapt to unexpected challenges.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Sound judgment and critical thinking.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; knowledge of MS Project, AutoCAD, and Procore is an asset.

Fluency in spoken and written French, functional English.
