About Your Role
CMTS is seeking a highly motivated Asset/Move Project Manager I to support relocation and FF&E (Furniture, Fixtures, and Equipment) management for capital improvement projects in East Los Angeles, CA. This role is responsible for overseeing FF&E programming, procurement, budgeting, installation, and move coordination across new, renovated, and swing space projects.
Required Education
Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Construction Management, Facilities Management, Planning, or related field
OR
8–12 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree
Required Qualifications
6–10 years of experience in:
Move/Relocation Management
Project Management
Interior Design or Facilities Management
FF&E procurement and coordination
Ability to read architectural and furniture drawings
Knowledge of FF&E specifications and procurement processes
Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
Proficiency in:
Microsoft Office
Adobe Acrobat or Bluebeam
Ability to work across multiple campus/project sites
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in educational or public works environments
FF&E sourcing, procurement, or asset management experience
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Visio, or design software
Certifications:
CID / CCIDQ
Professional affiliations:
IIDA, AIA, IFMA
LEED Certification
Responsibilities
Manage FF&E lifecycle including:
Programming, specification, budgeting, procurement, and installation
Lead relocation/move management:
Scope development, bidding, vendor coordination, and execution
Coordinate with:
College Project Directors (CPD)
Architects/Engineers (A/E)
Contractors and user groups
Develop and maintain FF&E budgets and schedules
Review design/construction documents to ensure infrastructure compatibility (electrical, data, utilities)
Coordinate IT equipment planning and installation
Oversee swing space planning and relocation logistics
Manage vendor procurement and contractor coordination
Track deliveries, installations, and punch list completion
Coordinate asset tagging and surplus disposition
Maintain all project documentation (POs, invoices, shipping docs, etc.)
Support project closeout and reporting
