Asset Development Engineer – Professional Services

Five9 is a leader in cloud-based Contact Center solutions. Our Professional Services development team is growing, and we are seeking an Asset Development Engineer. This is a full-time remote position that can be worked from anywhere in the Continental US.

The Asset Development group is focused on delivering products in a rapid development cycle to augment and extend Five9 core product offerings. This role consists of rapid product development leveraging modern development methodologies and tools that automate the definition, architecture, development, and delivery of software products.

The candidate will be expected to work in a team environment via web conferences and chat collaboration. The candidate must be a self-starter, able to work independently while staying in sync with the rest of the team.

Required Skills

•
Strong software development background with experience working with end-to-end toolchains, including project definition and organization, source control, linting, and test automation

•
Recent experience with Jira, Confluence, Visual Studio Code, and Git

•
Expertise in JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, and Node.js

•
Proficiency in TypeScript, Nest.js, and VueJS

•
Toolchain experience with Visual Studio Code, Jira, Confluence, and Git

•
Understanding of cloud-based software development considerations and architectures (Google Cloud, AWS, etc.) and web-based API interfaces (SOAP, REST, AJAX, WebSockets, etc.)

•
Familiarity with Unix-based command line shell usage

•
Knowledge of Contact Center technologies is a plus

Qualifications

•
5+ years of experience in application or integration software development

•
Application development related to Computer-Telephony Integration (CTI) with systems such as Cisco ICM/UCCE, Genesys, or Avaya is a plus

•
3+ years of development experience in web-based applications (HTML5, JavaScript) and associated frameworks such as ReactJS, VueJS, Angular, SASS, PostCSS, jQuery, Marionette, Backbone, Bootstrap, Foundation, etc.

•
1+ year of experience with web application hosting services such as Google Cloud, AWS, Azure, and self-hosted Node.js services

•
BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience is required
