Job Summary: The company is looking to recruit an ambitious and energetic Asset Data Acquisition Engineer, who will help candi to further deliver premium solar solutions. Given that candi is taking solar into a new realm with a new set of tools, the role will require creativity, innovation and proactive involvement.

Specifically, the job requires taking ownership of the following for the Indian team:

Setup and management of data acquisition hardware & infrastructure from the solar plants to the data servers. 

Examples of hardware include utility scale SCADA systems, data loggers, meters, sensors, PLC’s, site networking & telecommunications, routers.

Ensuring communication between the various hardware components and to cloud servers.

Ensure and enhance data specification compliance, validity, integrity and delivery consistency 

Validate and maintain solar plant output power control setup between solar, Inverter, generator and battery hybrid system options where applicable. 

Liaise with communication equipment OEMs to maximize internalization of knowledge troubleshooting capabilities

Drive local and global data acquisition systems development on hardware and software side to strategically optimize solar performance data capturing.

Support the Asset Management team in resolving plant issues.

Experience : 6 - 8+ years PV industry or related industry work experience in industrial automation and commissioning, diagnosing & troubleshooting data systems & related hardware  

Location: Pune combined with working from home

Hours: Full time.

Job Requirements:

Appropriate qualification (BTech / BEng / Energy Systems / Data Science / Networking), or other justified 

Hands-on experience in setting up, vetting and troubleshooting data acquisition systems such as SCADAs or other data loggers remotely

Remote data assessment and validation with additional ability to manually complement data sets. 

Experience in managing third party hardware and software providers to deliver effective data acquisition setups.

Field experience for hardware setup, especially with AC/DC Power Systems / IT systems / SCADA / Industrial Automations

Knowledge how to evaluate and compare industrial automation hardware and software solutions offered in the market setup 

Advanced Data Analytics and Engineering is a plus as are familiarity with SQL and Python coding

Desire to work in an international environment, sharing ideas and learnings across borders and cultures
