Assessment Coordinator and Assistant Professor, Education, beginning no later than August 2026
RESPONSIBILITIES: The successful candidate will be responsible for the quality assurance system and program reporting at the state and national level for CAEP programs and teaching in a variety of capacities and modalities delivering quality instruction in Education courses for the Elementary, Early Childhood, Special Education and/or professional education undergraduate programs and at the graduate level. This full-time position is a combination of release time and teaching load. Other responsibilities include data collection, accreditation and program reporting, advising, serving the university and community and maintaining an active research agenda. QUALIFICATIONS: Candidates should have an earned doctorate in Education, or a related field from a CAEP/NCATE accredited institution and a minimum of three years of US PK-12 public school teaching experience.
Qualifications/Skills Required:
• Demonstrated experience using large data sets, and collecting, organizing, analyzing and reporting data
• Excellent organizational skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues including program stakeholders outside of the university community
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to effectively lead committee meetings and manage projects involving multiple personnel and perspectives
• Demonstrated commitment to teaching, service, and professional development
• Experience teaching using a variety of instructional technology (internet, instructional software, Blackboard or other LMS)
• Ability to teach in traditional and non-traditional formats
• Ability to engage in student recruitment and program advising
Qualifications/Skills Desired:
• Successful experience in accreditation report writing (CAEP or SPA) and knowledge of CAEP standards
• Experience teaching at the college level
• Experience coordinating and delivering effective professional development
• Successful grant writing experience or other experience related to seeking external funding
• Advanced information and communication technology skills related to productivity and instruction, including Microsoft Excel and Access, Blackboard, Zoom, and mobile devices.
