About our Assembly Technician
GDS Corp is a subsidiary of Welker, Inc located in Sugar Land, TX. This role will be working at the GDS Corp office in League City, TX for a training period 6 – 12 months. Upon completion of training, the GDS Corp Assembly Technician will work out of the Welker, Inc location in Sugar Land.
Our ideal candidate is a skilled technician who has a passion for working with their hands on a variety of products. Someone who understands electronic schematics and can execute assembly instructions. If you're motivated by contributing to the production of life-saving equipment, this is the position for you!
Responsibilities
Assembling components and subassemblies using hand tools, power tools, and machinery
Reading and interpreting assembly drawings, engineering drawings, and work instructions.
Testing incoming and finished products for functionality, performing final inspections, and ensuring compliance with specifications.
Identifying and fixing defects or issues with the product or assembly process.
Maintaining records of production, including tracking serialized parts and testing data.
These are some of the more frequent tasks you could expect to perform during your workday, but you may be called upon to fulfill other duties as needed.

Qualifications
Two+ years experience operating tools such as multimeters, soldering stations, precision screwdrivers, and other basic hand tools
Familiarity with circuitry, wiring, and splicing of wires
Experience with 4-20 mA sources is preferred
Experience with quality control is a plus

GDS Corp is a subsidiary of Welker, Inc. This is an in-office, full time position working Monday – Friday. The candidate will be working at the GDS Corp office in League City, TX during initial training and then transfer to work at the Welker, Inc office located in Sugar Land, TX.
