Assembly Operator
JOB DESCRIPTION
Summary/ Objectives
The Assembly Operator performs assembly duties for house coupling and accessories.
Essential Functions

Receives process travelers verifies that the components are correct, and close them out.
Assembles couplings, clamps, and other products.
Maintains inventory control during the assembly process.
Maintains inventory put away, maintains a clean work environment, assists with packaging materials for shipment.
Pick & Put away materials following designated inventory locations.
Follows assembly/process documents.
Take new job from Job Traveler to ready for shipment and turn in of Job Traveler.
Determine packaging/crating weights and dimensions for shipments.
Take day-to-day production outputs and accurately update ERP system.
Maintains paperwork used for control of production, inventory movement, quality counts.

Work Environment
This job operate in a manufacturing environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently expose to fumes or airborne particles, oil and grease. The team member occasionally works near moving machine parts, grinding debris, hazardous fluids and performs work from a variety of different angles and body positions. The noise level in the This position may require heavy lifting, repeated bending, squatting and manual dexterity. Fast-paced work environment requiring heavy metal demands. All employees must ensure compliance with the Company Health and Safety Policies and all relevant other statutory Health and Safety legislation.

This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, twisting, crouching, and crawling. The team member is frequently required to use hands and fingers to handle, or feel objects, tools or controls and climb or balance. The team member is regularly required to reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
The team member must regularly lift and move up to 50 pounds; and frequently lift and move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Position Type & Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 6:00am to 2:30pm.
Opportunities to work extended hours and on weekends may be required as job duties demand.
Travel
No travel is regularly expected for this position. The team member may be assigned to go out on a service call to a customer’s premises.
Required Education & Experience
High School diploma or equivalent.
