Assembler I-APF

AlexPro Armory (APF) is looking to add an Assembler to our Alexandria location.  Assembler I will be responsible for the basic assembly of firearms and firearms components.  For the right candidate, this position may advance to Assembler II which involves assembly and test firing of firearms and firearms components.  

Duties and responsibilities

Assemble firearms and components in a safe and efficient manner.

Read work orders and ensure the correct quantities of parts are being assembled.

Ability to learn basic troubleshooting skills, as it relates to firearm operations.

Manage one’s workload to ensure steady progress and timely completion of requirements, responsibilities, and corporate initiatives.

Maintain a clean and hazard free work area.

All other duties, as assigned.

Qualifications

Age 18 or older

Ideally, experience and basic knowledge of firearms, firearms safety and basic firearms components

Knowledge of tools and equipment used for assembly

Must possess strong communication skills, the ability to work independently with minimal supervision, and work within a team environment

Mechanical aptitude and high attention to detail

Positive attitude, willing to go above and beyond

Working conditions and physical requirements

This job requires you to be around loud noises such as air hoses, power tools, and gunfire.

Must be able to sit or stand for 3 hours at a time and lift up to 50 lbs.

Must occasionally wear protective gear including, but not limited to, respirator, hearing protection, nitrile gloves, and safety glasses.
