About the Job

Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR) refers to technology that automatically converts spoken language into text. This technology is often used in voice assistants, transcription systems and other AI-driven voice interfaces.
We are looking for a Junior Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR) to support the development, testing, and improvement of speech-to-text systems.

This entry-level role is suitable for fresh graduates or early-career professionals who are passionate about AI, machine learning, speech technology, and audio data.

This is an on-site role located in Bangsar South, Kuala Lumpur. Office hours: Monday to Friday, 9.00am – 6.00pm.

Job Responsibilities::
• Listen to and review transcribed audio clips.
• Accurately capture spoken English content, even when subtitles are unavailable.
• Ensure high-quality transcription with correct spelling, grammar, and punctuation.
• Maintain consistency and attention to detail across different types of audio content.
• Meet project deadlines and follow task guidelines as instructed.
• Collaborate with the project team and provide feedback on audio quality or task-related issues when necessary.

Requirements::
• The ability to effectively listen to and speak English is a crucial and highly valued requirement.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work.
• An educational background in linguistics or experience in language teaching is a major plus.
• Management and/or QA experience in the data annotation industry will be a major plus.
• Eager to learn new tools, guidelines, and processes.
• Capable of working independently as well as in a team setting.
• Good communication and collaboration skills.
