We are seeking an experienced Asphalt Plant Foreman for our Bridgefield Asphalt Plant in St. Louis, MO. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the asphalt mixing plant by monitoring plant personnel and performance, producing asphalt mixes to specified standards, conducting routine maintenance, and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations. This position plays a key role in supporting construction projects by delivering high-quality asphalt on time.
Key Responsibilities:
Plant Operations
Manage a team consisting of a loader operator, maintenance engineer, and recycling operator.
Operate and monitor asphalt plant equipment, including controls, conveyors, and loaders.
Produce asphalt mixes according to job specifications and quality standards.
Adjust settings and controls to maintain mix consistency and production efficiency.
Load trucks safely and accurately with hot mix asphalt.
Maintenance & Equipment Care
Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on plant machinery.
Identify and report mechanical issues; assist with basic repairs when needed.
Keep the plant, yard, and equipment clean, organized, and in safe working conditions.
Quality & Compliance
Ensure asphalt production meets customer and project requirements.
Follow environmental, safety, and company policies always.
Record production data, material usage, and daily plant activities.
Qualifications & Skills:
High school diploma or equivalent (technical training a plus).
Experience operating or assisting in an asphalt or construction materials plant preferred.
Knowledge of asphalt mix design, plant equipment, and construction materials.
Ability to operate loaders, skid steers, and other heavy equipment.
Strong attention to detail, teamwork, and communication skills.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends during peak season.
