Asphalt Foreman

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Paving Specialist to lead and execute paving projects with precision and efficiency. This role involves overseeing all aspects of paving operations, including planning and scheduling, quality control, and ensuring safety compliance. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in construction management, site supervision, and technical skills to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality. Duties

Plan, coordinate, and supervise paving operations on construction sites, ensuring adherence to project schedules and specifications.

Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to accurately execute paving layouts.

Utilize construction management software such as Primavera P6 for project scheduling and HeavyBid for cost estimation.

Manage subcontractors, suppliers, and on-site personnel to maintain workflow efficiency and safety standards.

Conduct quality control inspections using tools like ohmmeters and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations.

Monitor project budgets, track progress, and adjust plans as necessary to meet project goals.

Oversee safety protocols on-site, enforce OSHA standards, and conduct regular safety meetings.

Review contracts, change orders, and manage project documentation using Bluebeam or similar construction management tools.

Supervise the use of heavy equipment and paving machinery to ensure proper operation and maintenance.

Coordinate with engineers and project managers to resolve technical issues related to pipeline schematics or other infrastructure components.

Experience

Proven heavy civil or paving construction site experience with a strong understanding of construction management principles.

Supervising experience leading teams in fast-paced construction environments.

Demonstrated expertise in project scheduling using Primavera P6 or similar software.

Familiarity with construction estimating tools such as HeavyBid for accurate budgeting.

Knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and construction estimating processes.

Hands-on experience with quality control procedures and safety compliance (OSHA standards).

Skilled in managing contracts, change orders, and project documentation via Bluebeam or comparable software.

Ability to operate or oversee the use of technical tools like ohmmeters for electrical testing on site.
