We are seeking an experienced ASIC Design Team Leader to lead and grow our IP design team along with being responsible for end‑to‑end technical and execution ownership. This role combines deep hands‑on RTL expertise, technical decision‑making, and people leadership, ensuring high‑quality, on‑time delivery from architecture definition through tape‑out and silicon bring‑up.
You will be responsible for setting the technical direction, building high-performing teams, and ensuring execution excellence from architectural definition through silicon bring-up. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in digital design along with a proven ability to lead teams and drive organizational impact.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Team Management:
• Lead, mentor, and grow a team of ASIC design engineers, fostering a culture of excellence, ownership, and innovation
• Set clear goals, expectations, and career development plans
• Provide continuous coaching, feedback, and performance management
• Identify and develop future technical and leadership talent
• Support hiring and scaling of the team
Technical Leadership & Strategy:
• Guide end‑to‑end ASIC development: from spec definition through tape‑out and silicon bring‑up
• Establish and enforce design methodologies, coding standards, and sign-off criteria
• Drive data-driven trade-offs across power, performance, and area (PPA)
Execution & Delivery Ownership:
• Own planning, scheduling, and execution of deliverables
• Manage risks, dependencies, and delivery commitments
• Balance hands-on technical contribution with effective delegation
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
• Work closely with architecture, verification, physical design, SoC, and product teams
• Act as a key interface between engineering and other stakeholders
• Ensure alignment across teams and leadership
Technical Contribution:
• Provide hands-on guidance in RTL design (SystemVerilog) and micro-architecture
• Lead design and code reviews
• Support debug, coverage closure, and complex design challenges
Quality & Continuous Improvement:
• Drive continuous improvements in methodologies, tools, and processes
• Promote automation and efficiency via scripting
• Ensure proper documentation and knowledge sharing
Required:
• B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
• 15+ years of ASIC design experience
• Proven experience as a Team Lead / Technical Lead / Manager
• Strong expertise in digital design and verification methodologies
• Proficiency in Verilog/SystemVerilog
• Experience with EDA tools (Cadence, Synopsys, Mentor Graphics)
Technical Skills:
• Deep knowledge of ASIC design flows and micro-architecture
• Strong scripting and automation capabilities
• Experience with PPA optimization
Leadership Skills:
• Strong people management and coaching skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management
• High ownership, autonomy, and execution focus
• Ability to make data-driven decisions and lead through influence
