Job Description

Responsibilities:

• Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Design, develop, test, and implement new or enhanced applications using RPG (RPG III, RPG IV, RPGLE, Free Format RPG).
• Provide production support, troubleshoot issues, and implement bug fixes on existing applications.
• Maintain and optimize existing AS400 programs and database files (DB2/400).
• Collaborate with business analysts, end-users, and other development team members to deliver effective solutions.
• Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
• Create and maintain technical documentation.
• Support data migration, interface, and integration tasks as needed.

Requirements:
Strong experience in AS400 (IBM iSeries) environment.

Proficiency in RPG III, RPG IV, RPGLE, CL, and SQL/400.

Experience with DB2/400 and physical/logical file design.

Understanding of job scheduling tools and AS400 operational commands.

Knowledge of data conversion and integration techniques.

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
