Position Type: Part-Time / As-Needed (Substitute)
Job Summary:
The As-Needed Kitchen Support Staff member provides substitute coverage for cafeteria staff as needed. This position supports daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, meal service, and maintaining a clean and safe food service environment. Individuals must be flexible and available to work on short notice when coverage is required. Training will be provided prior to assignment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Assist with basic food preparation and meal setup
Serve meals to students and staff in a courteous and efficient manner
Maintain the cleanliness of the kitchen, serving areas, and equipment
Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines
Support kitchen staff with daily operational tasks as assigned
Demonstrate positive and professional interactions with students, staff, and visitors
Perform other related duties as needed to support cafeteria operations
Qualifications:
Must be at least 18 years of age
Ability to follow directions and work in a fast-paced environment
Reliable and able to respond to as-needed work requests
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous kitchen, food service, or cafeteria experience
Additional Information:
Required to complete initial training prior to being scheduled
Hours are not guaranteed and will vary based on staffing needs
