Art Program Lead
Ruth and Naomi’s Mission has been serving the Chilliwack community for over 20 years. What began as handing out sandwiches in downtown Chilliwack has grown into a multi-site organization supporting hundreds of individuals each day through shelter, recovery, and community programs.
We are a Christian faith-based organization committed to walking alongside people on a journey of recovery demonstrating the love of Jesus.
About the Role
We are seeking an Art Program Lead to develop and facilitate creative programming across multiple areas of the organization, including shelter, recovery programs, supportive housing, and programs supporting older adults.
This role will create meaningful opportunities for participants to explore creativity, build confidence, and experience connection through art. From leading classes to developing creative initiatives, this position plays an important role in enhancing participant wellbeing and engagement across our programs.
This position works collaboratively with program managers and teams across the organization.
What You’ll Do
• Facilitate engaging art classes and creative workshops across multiple program sites
• Develop creative programming that supports wellness, recovery, and self-expression
• Collaborate with program managers to integrate art into existing programming
• Support creative projects such as seasonal initiatives, murals, or participant art displays
• Create a welcoming, inclusive environment that encourages participation and connection
What You Bring
• Experience facilitating art classes, workshops, or creative programming
• A passion for working with individuals experiencing homelessness, addiction, or other barriers
• Strong interpersonal and facilitation skills
• A creative, flexible, and compassionate approach
• Willingness to respect and uphold the mission and values of Ruth & Naomi’s Mission
Compensation & Schedule
•
$26.52 – $28.84 per hour (dependent on experience)
• Full-time, Monday–Friday (some flexibility may be required)
• Travel between Chilliwack sites required
• Extended health and RRSP benefits following probation
