Internship Program Summary

Are you a 2026 college graduate or rising college senior? AbelsonTaylor Group is looking for 9 Chicago area-based interns to join our 2026 Summer Internship Program, nextgenerATion.

Our internship program offers a rewarding experience that fosters creativity, collaboration, and inclusivity. You’ll collaborate with professionals across all levels, gaining hands-on experience to give you a competitive edge in your career. During the program, you’ll have the chance to engage with teams from various departments. Additionally, you’ll collaborate with fellow interns on an exciting, summer-long group project!

Art Director Intern

Art Directors are responsible for the visual style, design, and imagery of the concepts and campaigns we produce. In this position, you will work closely with seasoned Art Directors to help develop and execute a range of materials across different media platforms

What You'll Do

• Create compelling artwork, data visualization, and layouts for assigned brands

• Gain exposure to a range of projects, therapeutic areas, clients, and the behind-the-scenes decisions that influence careers and business

• Participate in various projects, client discussions, and behind-the-scenes decisions that influence business

• Shadow the creative team of Copywriters and Art Directors throughout the concept-generating process and get an up-close view of how a campaign comes to life

• Collaborate with fellow interns on a comprehensive, final project to feature in your professional portfolio

Who You Are:

• An expected 2026 graduate, or a rising senior (graduating 2027).

• You are a dependable, self-motivated professional who thrives in a hybrid schedule, with optional remote work on Mondays and Fridays, and required on-site presence in our Chicago office Tuesdays through Thursdays.

• A keen eye and deep appreciation for a wide range of design aesthetics

• Creative problem-solver, unafraid to use diverse visuals to tell a good story

• Curious about the world around you and about cross-media design and imagery in particular

• A champion of diversity and an inclusive culture, who uses cultural competence to propel agency and client business forward

Compensation Range: Hourly compensation ranges from $18.00 for rising seniors to $20.00 for upcoming graduates. The company reserves the right to adjust this compensation at any time.
